Oppo A83 Pro launched I India for Rs 15,990

28 March 2018 2

Oppo has just launched the Oppo A83 Pro smartphone in India. The A83 Pro may remind you of Oppo’s A83 which was launched not too long back and even made its way to India. The Oppo A83 Pro, as the name implies is an upgrade over the A83 smartphone. So, what sets the A83 Pro apart from the A83 device? Well, only its RAM and storage capacity. Apart from this, both devices are basically identical. If not for different names, both smartphones could have been considered as just different variants.

The Oppo A83 Pro has a 5.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1440x720p. The device bears the popular 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a MediaTek MK6727T SoC. The octa-core CPU is clocked at a frequency of 2.5GHz. Coupled with this is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This is an upgrade of 1GB RAM and 32GB internal storage over the Oppo A83. The Oppo A83 Pro is equipped with a single 13MP rear-facing camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter. The smartphone has dual-SIM support and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and is based on ColorOS 3.2.

The smartphone does have a 3.5mm jack and supports face unlock. The device is equipped with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Oppo A83 Pro has a 3180mAh battery and is charged through micro-USB port. The Oppo A83 Pro is priced quite competitively, being sold in India for Rs 15,990, making it just Rs 2,000 more than the Oppo A83. The smartphone is available in two colour variants, Black and Rose Gold. As of now, there is no confirmation on when the Oppo A83 Pro would go on sale.
