The Nokia X5 was launched in China on July 18, and at the time the launch of the phone in global markets was unclear. Now HMD Global’s product manager has confirmed that the Nokia X5 will be launched globally as Nokia 5.1 Plus.
HMD’s Juho Sarvikas stated recently: “The Nokia X5 won’t need a poll so that the company can decide whether or not to bring it to other markets.”
Though he confirmed that the new Nokia X5 will be coming to new markets when the phone will hit other global markets remains unclear. The Nokia X5 is a budget device meant for emerging countries.

The first question was, why was it launched only for China? Nokia wants to down its own business?
China is the largest market when it comes to mobile and smartphone business. Of
course, it does get special treatment
Nokia does need at least the emerging markets to be targeted. China and India are already there for obvious reasons.
