Xiaomi launched its MIUI 10 on the very same day that it launched its 2018 flagship smartphone called the Mi 8. Naturally, the latest version of MIUI, MIUI 10, comes pre-installed on smartphones like the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and even the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Other Xiaomi devices eligible for the upgrade to the latest version of the OS received the Global Beta build at the beginning of July. The Beta build did the rounds in three batches, spanning over 37 models of Xiaomi phones.
There’s good news as Xiaomi has now started the rollout of the MIUI 10 China stable ROM for the 2017 flagship Xiaomi smartphone, the Mi 6, is the very first to receive it. The update is available via an OTA upgrade which can automatically be downloaded from the smartphone itself. The OTA update also includes the latest Android security patch for August and comes in a package size of 589MB. Users in China may have to wait for a while but not for long as a complete rollout of the update is sure to happen soon. As of now, the update is being pushed rather randomly to Mi 6 smartphone users.
It must be noted that MIUI 10 is still based on Android Oreo and not Android P. However, there have still been some significant improvements in MIUI 10, with the most important one being its AI technology. This includes deep learning capabilities and ultimately results in a smoother experience by reducing the loading time of applications which you commonly use. This is definitely going to be a breath of fresh air for Xiaomi Mi 6 users!
