Nokia 8.1 leaked through Geekbench score with Snapdragon 710 SoC

21 October 2018 2

Nokia seems to have waited till the Q4 2018 to make a few big announcements. The company has unveiled quite a number of phones in just a few weeks. Among these include the Nokia 7.1, Nokia 3.1 Plus, and even the Nokia 7.1 Plus. If you thought this was all, you couldn’t be further from the truth. Nokia has decided to go all out as it is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone. The new smartphone has been revealed as the Nokia 8.1 through a leaked Geekbench score entry.

According to the leaked Geekbench result, the Nokia 8.1 smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The 710 chipset is a mid-range one which is commonly seen in many budget-oriented smartphones. The octa-core CPU runs at a base frequency of 1.7GHz. However, there’s a very good chance that it reaches higher clocks at maximum load. Since the chipset is based on the 10nm manufacturing process it is quite power efficient and offers considerably good battery life. Coupled with the Snapdragon 710 SoC is 4GB of RAM. This seems to be a pretty well-balanced smartphone in terms of its hardware.

The smartphone manages to achieve a score of 1841 in the singlethreaded benchmark while it secured 5807 points in the multithreaded one. The Geekbench listing also reveals that the Nokia 8.1 smartphone will run on the latest version of Android, Android Pie. This means that the device will run on Android 9 out of the box and users won’t have to wait for an update to try out the latest version of Android.

The Nokia 8.1 isn't still available. To be notified when it becomse available click here.
