Oppo has unveiled its latest R Series smartphones, the Oppo R17, and the R17 Pro earlier this month. The Oppo R17 hit the shelves right away, however, the R17 Pro hasn’t been made available yet. Oppo has stated earlier, that the R17 Pro will hit the shelves by the end of this month, however, it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer for the phone.
Oppo has now stated, that the R17 Pro will be made available on November 11, 2018, in China. The global availability of the phone is yet to be confirmed by the company. The Oppo R17 Pro is priced at 4,299 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant. The R17 Pro will compete against phones like the OnePlus 6T and Asus Zenfone 5z.
Oppo has stated at the time of the launch that the R17 series will be the first phones with HyperBoost Acceleration Engine technology, which will make the phones faster and more efficient. The R17 Pro will be a mid-range smartphone with a triple-rear camera setup. It has a primary 12MP sensor with variable aperture, a 20MP sensor, and a TOF 3D sensor. The Oppo R17 Pro has a Time-of-flight camera which makes it unique.
Under the hood, the phone has a Snapdragon 710 chipset and a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It has a waterdrop notch up front, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is backed by a 3700mAh battery, with support for 50W SuperVOOC super flash charge that allows the phone to be charged in just 35 minutes.
