Apple facing heat as demand for iPhone slip resulting in further product cut

21 December 2018 4

As the demand for iPhones slips, it’s believed that Apple might be cutting on the orders given to parts manufacturers. Apple reduced iPhone X orders by 40 percent last year and the same was expected to be the case this year as well where the Cupertino tech giant was thought to be cutting its orders by 15 percent to the parts manufacturing companies.

Recently we have been seeing increasing number of reports suggesting the same where iPhone XR has taken the major hit where Apple might cut its orders from 4 million to 2.5 million while 1.5 million cut of is expected to iPhone XS, where the largest variant iPhone XS Max taking the minimum hit getting a drop in of half a million units.

A report shares their viewpoint in this regard as below,

“OUR IPHONE ESTIMATES HAVE BEEN LOWERED TO 39 MLN UNITS FOR THE MARCH QUARTER, AND WE BELIEVE IPHONE SHIPMENTS WILL BE DOWN 10% Y/Y IN C2018, AS WE ALREADY EXPECT APPLE MIGHT CONTINUE CUTTING THEIR PRODUCTION FOR THE MARCH QUARTER. WE WILL REVIEW OUR ESTIMATES IN JANUARY, BUT WE CONTINUE TO BELIEVE STREET ESTIMATES FOR MARCH AND C2019 STILL NEED TO COME DOWN.”

As the demand for iPhones slips, a growing number of smartphone users are exploring more manufacturers as an alternative means. What do you think about this? Have you ditched Apple iPhones yet? Let us know in the comment section below.
