Back in November, the Galaxy A9 2018 was announced for the Indian market at a price tag of INR 36,990. Last month the device gets the first price cut of Rs 3,000. As per the latest info, the company reduced the price tag once again, now you can purchase the device at just INR 30,990. The Galaxy A9 2018 was announced in last quarter of 2018 as the company's first phone with quad rear cameras.
The good thing is Samsung also reduced the 8GB RAM variant pricing as well. The 8GB RAM model can be purchased at a price tag of INR 33,990. The new prices are visible on the company's official site which means its not the limited time offer.
Another aspect of slashing prices again could be the arrival of A9 Pro 2019 for the Indian market. The Galaxy A9 2019 is the company's first phone with Infinity-O display. So far it is only available for the South Korean market at 599,500 KRW which is roughly INR 37,800 at current currency exchange rate.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy A9 2018 is featuring a 6.3-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. Its a Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Under the hood the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC is powering the phone with max clocking at 2.2Ghz.
On the rear side, you will get four rear cameras, the primary snapper is a 24MP module with f/1.7 aperture, the secondary sensor is a 10MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture and up to 2x optical zoom. The third sensor is ultra-wide angle 8MP module with f/2.4 aperture. The last sensor is a 5MP depth-sensing module with f/2.2 aperture. As OS it is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1.
