Google, like Apple, doesn’t make too many devices and still has been able to build its own fanbase, that too when the Pixel line is just three generations old. A recent report from Strategy Analytics reveals that “Google Pixel is the fastest growing brands in the US.”
Pixel, like iPhones, has been able to target a certain section of the affluent user base who are not bothered about specifications and prices but prefer the overall experience Google offers in its phones. The Pixel devices are known for their superlative camera, bloat-free Android and Google’s software prowess with apps like Google Assistant, which is way more powerful than any other digital assistant.
The fact that Pixel devices are the first ones to get the latest Android OS from Google is also one of the biggest reason why Android enthusiasts prefer Pixel over any other Android-powered smartphone. While brands like Apple and Samsung have been in the business of making phones for over 10 years now, Google has just made an entry a few years back, it still is a huge achievement to outgrow the competition in such a short span of time.
Though the overall sales of both Apple and Samsung phones are way more than those of Google’s, the fast-paced growth in the US should be more than encouraging for the brand. Google is now said to be gearing up to launch its budget Pixel phones, the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3XL Lite in the price-sensitive emerging markets is expecting a huge push from these upcoming devices.
