Back in the first half of the January the Chinese giant Xiaomi officially spins off the Redmi into a separate brand. Later on, the company launched Redmi Note 7 as the first smartphone under new branding. The Redmi Note 7 was quite special as being the first phone from Redmi with 48MP rear snapper. Like all Redmi phones, Note 7 brings great value for money.
The device was up for sale on January 15th in China. As per the latest stats report from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 7 sales cross 1 million units mark in China in less than a month. The company is also getting ready to announce the Redmi Note 7 for other markets as well including India.
The sales number shows the Redmi Noe 7 sold more than 1 million from Jan 15th to February 11th. This is a great achievement considering Xiaomi shipments dropped 35% during the last quarter in China. However, the company's strategy of releasing phones with solid hardware at affordable pricing is bearing fruit once again.
In terms of specs, the Redmi Note 7 is featuring a 6.3-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 chipset is powering the phone, the base model has 3GB RAM with 64GB storage whereas the top-tier model has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Adreno 512 is taking care of graphics.
The primary rear snapper is 48MP whereas the secondary depth-sensing sensor is 5MP. Up front the selfie snapper is 13MP. A 4,000mAH battery is on board to keep its lights on. The company also confirmed Redmi Note 7 Pro will be announced soon, it will have Sony's IMX 586 48MP snapper on the rear. For the Chinese market, the Redmi Note 7 is currently available at 999 Yuan.
