Nokia 8.1 Plus images leaked through TENAA and user manual

03 April 2019 3

The Nokia 8.1 Plus has just been leaked through TENAA and a user manual. The leak shows the smartphone bearing the model number of TA-1188. The user manual shows the same model number and labels the model number as the Nokia 8.1 Plus smartphone. This is a device which may be no one saw coming.

Unfortunately, the TENAA listing isn’t accessible at the moment. Luckily, the images of it which were first spotted by a French website called SumoMobili are still available.

A glimpse of the images above will tell you that the smartphone will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. This will be the second Nokia smartphone to come with this feature. The only other one from HMD Global is the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone. The Nokia 8.1 Plus has a punch-hole display and a vertically aligned rear triple camera setup. Underneath the rear camera is the LED flash and the NOKIA branding.

Have a look at the image above. The image is an official render of the smartphone found on the same website which discovered the TENAA listing.

The above image is taken from the user manual for the smartphone. It shows that the speaker is placed on the bottom edge of the device along with a USB-C port and a microphone. The top of the smartphone contains the 3.5 mm jack along with another microphone. The Nokia 8.1 Plus is certainly shaping up to be a smartphone to look forward to.
