Redmi 7 latest teaser hints April 24 launch alongside Redmi Y3

The Xiaomi India releases another teaser which hints the company could launch the Redmi 7 alongside the Redmi Y3 on April 24th. Although the tweet was about more than 7 million units sale of Redmi Y-lineup phones the emphasis on the "7" was a clear indication the company may launch the Redmi 7 as well. Not just that the company also mention "a few surprises".

Many details regarding the Redmi Y3 are already out thanks to a continuous stream of rumors and leak. The Redmi Y3 will have 32MP selfie snapper. Despite being a budget-friendly phone it will come with a gradient finish. The Redmi 7 was launched in China back in March but now it seems like the company is gearing to launch the Redmi 7 in 7 days.


As far as the hardware specs are a concern the Redmi 7 is featuring a 6.26-inches display with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Following the latest trend, the device will have dewdrop notch. Under the hood, the Qualcomm's Octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC will be powering the phone. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Pie straight out of the box with MIUI 9 skin over it.

For the Chinese market, the device was launched in three configurations including 2GB RAM + 16GB storage. 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The rear side is adorned with dual cameras, the primary snapper is 12MP with f/2.2 aperture whereas the secondary sensor is a 2MP depth-sensing module. Up front, the selfie snapper is 8MP with HDR. A 4,000mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on.

The teaser is a clear hint that the Redmi 7 is definitely coming out. And because Xiaomi has an event in a couple of days, the launch has to be on April 24 as well.
