HMD Global releases a new teaser on official Twitter account to confirm the launch of Nokia 4.2 on May 7th in India. The teaser showcases the power button with LED light and also a physical button for LED flashlight. Both these aspects were key selling aspects of the latest Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2. Both the phones were launched at the MWC 2019. Apart from the teaser both the phones get listed on the official Nokia India website ahead of the official unveiling.
At the moment it is still in the dark what will be the price tag of Nokia 4.2 and Nokia 3.2 for the Indian market. For the global market, the Nokia 3.2 base model was launched at $139 which is INR 9,600 at current currency exchange rate. The top-tier model with 3GB RAM was $30 more expensive. The Nokia 4.2 with 2GB RAM was launched at $169 whereas the 3GB RAM model was announced at $199. The Nokia 4.2 will face stiff competition from Galaxy M30, Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro in the Indian market.
In terms of specs, the Nokia 4.2 is featuring a 5.71-inches display with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The display aspect ratio is 19:9. The Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 chipset is powering the phone. The base model has 2GB RAM with 16GB storage whereas the top-tier model comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Its native storage is further expandable via MicroSD up to 400GB. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Pie.
The Nokia 4.2 comes with dual rear snappers, the primary sensor is 13MP with f/2.2 aperture. The secondary depth-sensing module is 2MP with f/2.2 aperture. Up front, the selfie snapper is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture. It retains the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, it comes with Micro-USB port. A 3,000mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on. The device dimensions are 148.95x71.30x8.39mm.
