The Japnese giant Sony's latest flagship Xperia 1 yet to the hit the US stores but the company today launched the latest flagships for the Chinese market. The Xperia 1 is quite special for Sony due to a number of aspects. It is the company's first phone with 21:9 OLED display with 4K screen resolution and triple rear cameras.
The Xperia 1 is featuring an aluminum chassis with glass covering the rear and front side. The device features a gigantic 6.5-inches OLED display with a 4K screen resolution of 1644x3840pixels and HDR10+ support. The Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is protecting the display. Under the hood the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC is powering the phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It supports memory expansion up to 512GB using MicroSD. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Pie straight out of the box.
The rear side has triple rear cameras. The primary snapper is 12MP with f/1.6 aperture. It features optical and electronic image stabilization. The secondary snapper on the rear is an ultra wide-angle 12MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 135-degrees field of view. The third snapper on the rear is a 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture and optical zoom up to 2x.
The front-facing wide-angle selfie snapper is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture. For connectivity, it comes with Type-C port. The fingerprint scanner is embedded on the right edge under a dedicated button. The Xperia 1 dimensions are 167 x 72 x 8.2mm. It is IP68 certified phone which provides resistance against water up to 1.5 meters deep water for 30 minutes. A 3,300mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on. It supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
