Xiaomi, the Chinese consumer electronics company has made tremendous growth in just 9 years. In its tenure, the company has proved its worth outside China as well. It strategically expanded itself in many countries and launched its products there. The strong foothold of the company in India is not hidden to anyone, also, it caters to the needs of users in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, and South Africa as well.
And now, the company is reportedly ready for its next chapter to begin and it is about debuting in Japan and Sweden, two new countries to add to its success profile.
Nikkei Asian Review reports that Wang Xiang, head of Xiaomi’s international operations, disclosed the company is all set to enter Japan next year with high-performance smartphones offering at lower prices. Xiaomi eventually hopes to partner with leading wireless carriers, the main distributors for phones in Japan, though the exact names are unknown.
In the beginning, the products will be available exclusively through the company’s own sales channels, including online.
Xiaomi is reportedly also holding an event in central Stockholm, Sweden on November 13 where it will debut some of its products. The event could launch smart home products as the text on the event page reads “Smart Life Made Simple.” The launch date is not too far from us where we learn about Xiaomi’s plans. So stay tuned.
