This has been the year of OEMs working on different ways to release smartphones with the full-display viewing experience. Pop-up cameras have been one of the popular choices for achieving the same and Motorola has finally launched a smartphone with the same approach. We are talking about the Motorola One Hyper which is the latest member of the Motorola One family.
The Motorola One Hyper features a 32-megapixel pop-up selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and Quad Pixel technology. This results in a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) Total Vision display with minimum bezels. There is no notch to interrupt your viewing or gaming experience. The display panel has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. It is the only configuration option that Motorola has released. There is a dual rear camera setup including a 64-megapixel main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Some of the camera features include Night Vision mode, Auto Smile capture, Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting, RAW photo output, and panorama support.
The whole package is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for 45W Hyper Charging technology. It is claimed to charge the phone up to 75% within 30 minutes and offer 12 hours of usage after just 10 minutes of charging. A fully charged battery is said to last for about 38 hours of battery life. It is worth mentioning that the smartphone will run Android 10 out of the box. Other features include USB Type-C port and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Motorola One Hyper has been priced at $399.99 for the sole 4GB/128GB variant. It is currently available for purchase in the United States and Brazil but should be expanded to other markets soon. It has been released in Blue Ocean, Fresh Orchid, and Amber Red color variants but only the first one is available for now.
