Motorola Razr foldable phone pre-orders to finally start on January 26

22 January 2020 0

Motorola Razr (2019), the foldable display smartphone finally has a pre-order date after much-anticipation and wait. Motorola announced the delay back in December 2019 as it had to adjust the presale due to “unparalleled excitement from consumers.” Observing the delay at the edge of the completion of the year, it became certain that Motorola would only launch it in 2020.

Fortunately, the delay wasn’t big; this is something Motorola promised too, stating that don't expect the delay to be the significant one. The interested buyers can pre-order the foldable phone through Verizon Wireless, Walmart, and Motorola.com on January 26th. Also, the retail launch will happen on February 6th at Verizon, the exclusive launch partner for the phone.

Motorola has reportedly sent the following statement to some outlets including Engadget.

We are excited to share that, in North America, the Motorola razr will be available for presale on January 26 exclusively at Verizon, Walmart, and motorola.com; and in stores starting on February 6. Dates for other markets will be announced locally.

Motorola also has plans to launch its first foldable display smartphone Razr in the UK, Canada, and India later this year, but it is unknown exactly when these markets would get the device.

While Motorola was quite open about the delay, many speculated that technical issues might have something to do with the delay. Thankfully, Motorola Razr hasn’t undergone any technical difficulties that could stop it from getting launched. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, there haven’t been any early reports of issues.

We are excited to see some real-life reviews on the Motorola Razr foldable phone. So, let’s just wait a bit more and see what comes next.
