Motorola rolling out Android 7.1.1 update for Moto Z

A few months back, Google started pushing Android Nougat on its various devices and we had reports that Moto Z Play would start receiving Android Nougat in various regions around the globe, then in March, it effectively started rolling out to Moto Z Play devices. Just recently, Motorola started testing Android 7.1.1 Nougat on Motorola Z Play bring a wave of satisfaction among fans.

Now in July, the company has brought the wave of new software to the Moto Z smartphone that would be receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the fans living in Hong Kong and Indonesia.


The update brings Google Duo video calling app pre-installed along with fixing various Android security fixes for July. Google Duo just recently hit 100 million installs on Google Play and is one of the most stable video chat apps out there.

Moto Z smartphone offers a crisp 5.5-inch display packing 1440 x 2560 pixels giving a 535 pixels density. Powered by 1.8GHz quad-core processor Moto Z offers decent computational power along with its 4GB of RAM.

The update is currently rolling out and there is no confirmation of date as to when it would reach to your handset though when you get it, you’ll be seeing a notification for the update which would pop up on your smartphone.
