Computex Taipei is one of the world's biggest tech expos and like many other, it is an annual event where tech companies gather to announce their new products and services along with talking about their plans for the future. And as it has happened in the past, MSI will also be present at this year's event to showcase its offerings. Most of its announcements at the event are aimed at gamers and comprise of new gaming laptops, gaming desktops, gaming motherboards, and other gaming gears. Let's see what MSI has in store for us at Computex 2017.
MSI GT75VR Titan:
The MSI GT75VR Titan is a gaming laptop which is aimed at delivering PC-level gaming performance. While it is powered by Intel Core i7-7820HK processor with overclocking support up to 4GHz, it will come with the option of three different graphic cards to choose from. These are GeForce GTX1080, GTX 1070 SLI, and GTX 1070. It boasts all-new SteelSeries rapid RGB mechanical keyboard along with Per-Key RGB illumination which is customizable. Other than this, it supports features like MSI True Color Technology 2.0, Nahimic VR, MSI unique 120Hz Display of HDR color and HDR video editing, and Cooler Boost Titan.
MSI GS63VR and GS73VR:
Starting with the MSI GS63VR, it is claimed to be the world's slimmest gaming notebook with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU onboard. It features 17.7mm thickness which is at its thickest point and weighs only 1.9 kg. It is also said to have world's fastest 120Hz/3ms display and come with Cooler Boost Trinity along with Whirlwind Blade fans for better heat dissipation. It also features SteelSeries mechanical keyboard with SteelSeries Engine 3 for customization. As for the MSI GS73VR, it is essentially same as the GS63VR but with the major difference in the display. It has a 120GHz/5ms display.
MSI GE63 VR Raider and GE73VR Raider:
The all-new MSI GE63/73 VR Raider gaming laptops are said to be inspired by exotic sports cars which is reflected in its design and features. It will become available in 15-inch and 17-inch size variants and will be powered by GTX 1070 GPUs for stellar graphic performance. It also features HDR-compatible display panel with 120GHz/3ms response time. Other features include a per-key customizable RGB keyboard, Cooler Boost 5, Dynaudio’s Giant Speakers and Hi-Res Audio.
Now coming to gaming desktops, MSI took the stage to unveil its all-new Infinite series. These are powered by Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors along with company's own MSI Gaming graphics card which has been installed vertically. This is said to help in offering better cooling efficiency as well as in endurance during transportation. The gaming desktops under this series also feature an electric circuit-like design on the front which is customizable via MSI's Mystic Light software.
Other than this, there is a new MSI Trident 3 Arctic gaming desktop which features icy white color and hence the name. It comes loaded with 7th generation Intel Kaby Lake processors and NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1070 GPU for high-class gaming performance. There is also 256GB M.2 PCI-E SSD for faster data transfer and loading times. It is also made to work smoothly in VR gaming environment.
MSI went on to announce three new gaming motherboards under its X299 series. These are X299 Gaming M7 ACK, X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, and X299 Tomahawk. While the first and last offerings from MSI come with standard upgrades which you would expect, it is the X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC gaming motherboard which brings something different to the table. MSI is touting it as the world's first motherboard to feature fully changeable heatsink covers as well as X-Mounting accessories to support 3D printing and modding.
