GITEX technology week is witnessing some of the interesting launches in Dubai. It’s an annual consumer computer and electronics trade show exhibition, and conference that takes place in UAE, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The launches are being introduced from various sectors including AR & VR, IoT, smart manufacturing, and more. In the league of these new launches, Panasonic has also come up with some of the high-end solutions, specifically for the enterprises. These solutions include the new ‘tough’ series of laptops and tablets that have been designed to work in the harshest environments.
Panasonic has also introduced a sleek stadium mapping projector, a high-end camera with 4K/60fps capability, and a compact cinema camera, and many more products.
Starting with the ‘Tough’ series of products, these include Toughbook CF-33 fully rugged detachable notebook, Toughbook CF-54 semi-rugged notebook, and two tablets from FZ-series. The CF-33 was actually unveiled back in May. This has been designed to meet MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards and can withstand even the most extreme conditions. It features 12-inch QHD display and is powered by 7th-gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processor and runs Windows 10 Pro.
The CF-54 Toughbook features a 14-inch HD Active Matrix display and is powered by Intel Core i5-7300U vPro processor and coupled with 4GB RAM.
Panasonic has also launched the Toughpad FZ-G1 and Toughpad FZ-M1 with 10-inch and 7-inch displays. The former is powered by Intel Core i5-6300U vPro processor while the latter is powered by Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro processor. Both are IP65 certified, so they are able to withstand dust and water spills.
Talking about the Stadium Mapping projector, the new PT-RZ970 projector can be installed on actual stadiums to create high-quality and immersive projections on the field. Panasonic demonstrated the work of this projector with the help of a miniature set of Japan’s Suita Football stadium. The projector uses SOLID Shine laser with DLP projection to create a balanced image quality and features 360-degree rotation and 20,000-hour maintenance-free endurance.
Next up is the AU-EVA 1, which is the new compact cinema camera featuring a Super35 sized sensor with improved low-light performance and dual native ISO settings. The camera captures 4K/10-bit images and records videos at 4K/60fps or 2K/240fps. The camera weighs only 1.2kg and thus it could be an ideal solution for handheld shoots for short films.
Panasonic also launched immersive 360-degree live cameras that generate 360-degree uncompressed video in 4K output. The camera provides an immersive experience, thus making you feel the environment of any live events such as concerts, stadiums, and other sporting events in uncompressed 4K high picture quality.
