NVIDIA at the ongoing CES 2018 event has come up with many interesting announcements. One of them is the new breed of Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs) to provide PC gaming a new meaning and a giant screen.

While announcing these new displays NVIDIA announced that it has created them in conjunction with its hardware partners, which are Acer, ASUS, and HP.

The BFGD integrates a high-end 65-inch, 4K 120Hz HDR display with NVIDIA G-Sync technology together with NVIDIA SHIELD. According to the company, this combination delivers a buttery-smooth gaming experience. But, it will also depend on the machine that’s driving the display too. NVIDIA didn’t talk about the machinery part but to push a 4K display, the users may need GeForce GTX 1080-based card.

NVIDIA SHIELD, the streaming platform of the company is based on Android TV and includes Google Assistant. It means you will be able to enjoy content from services like Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. There is also NVIDIA GameStream to help you stream your gameplay from any GeForce-powered PC on your home network.

Coming back to the BFGDs, it features 1,000-nit peak luminance and DCI-P3 color gamut for the ultimate in visual quality. At the heart of this display is the G-SYNC HDR technology for tear-free immersion. This provides refresh rates from 0 to 240Hz for an “unbeatable” performance. G-Sync monitors, according to the company eliminate the ghosting artifacts.

“PC gamers expect high performance and instant response times, but, until now, they’ve been largely limited to traditional desktop displays. BFGDs change that. With NVIDIA’s latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can now experience their favorite titles in all the low-latency glory they deserve.
