Your wait is over as the Lenovo wraps off the cover from their latest ThinkPad P52, like all other ThinkPad lineup devices it is packed with impressive hardware under the hood. The new ThinkPad P52 is solely targetted to those customers who want a powerful machine with top-notch GPU capabilities. It is AR and VR ready machine which allows developers to create VR and AR content.
Under the hood the Intel Xeon 8th gen hexa-core SoC is powering the device with up to 128GB DDR4 RAM. The NVIDIA Quadro P3200 is on board to take care of graphics. In terms of native storage, the top of the line variant comes with up to 6TB storage. The hardware specs sheet clearly indicates the prowess of the notebook to handle VR and AR related tasks.
The P52's display is not an exception either as the device is featuring a 15-inches display with 400-nits of brightness. It comes with Ultra HD 4K resolution. Not just that the display also has 100% Adobe color gamut support as well. For connectivity, the device has a couple of Thunderbolt 3 ports and 3 USB-A ports. Other ports include an ethernet port, SD card readers and HDMI 2.0. It is amongst the best in other aspects as it features Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.11ac.
Up front, you will get a webcam with 720 pixels resolution and IR camera to support the Windows Hello feature. If you are Lenovo fan "ThinkShutter" is certainly not something new for you as it slides away when you open camera and normally covers the camera. Apart from IR camera, the device has a fingerprint scanner as a secondary unlocking option. To keep the lights on for a longer period a 90WHr battery cell is on board. As far as release is a concern the device will be available later this month but the price tag is still in dark.
