The Japanese giant Sony silently unveiled another smartphone of their XA2-series. The new smartphone isn't a flagship smartphone like the other devices instead it falls in the mid-range segment. The new XA2 Plus is undoubtedly one of the solid mid-range smartphones from Sony.
Like most of the latest smartphones from Sony, the XA2 Plus is featuring a 2:1 display. The XA2 Plus features a unibody metal design. The front-facing glass is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display is of 6.0-inches that's why Sony brought a mini display mode so that users can operate this gigantic device with a single hand. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear side.
Despite the fact, the XA2 Plus is a mid-range smartphone. It comes pre-loaded with the company's Hi-Res audio tech and Digital Sound enhancement engine. According to Sony, it is one of its kind smartphones in this niche due to its superb audio quality. It retains the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
The rear primary sensor is 23MP which supports 4K video recording as well as slow-motion capturing at 120 frames-per-second. Up front the 'super wide angle camera' is 5MP. A 3,580mAh battery cell is on board to keep the XA2 Plus lights on. It supports Qualcomm's Quick charge 3.0 for fast charging. It is being offered in dual SIM variant only.
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC is powering the device. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.0. As far as availability is a concern the XA2 Ultra will be available later this year after summer in Green, Silver, Black and Gold colors at a price tag of 399 Euros.
