Meizu 16 alleged poster reveals August 8 launch and front design

20 July 2018 4

A new alleged poster of the Meizu 16 has surfaced that showcase the front design of the same. The poster also shows a date which is likely the launch date of the device. According to the poster, the Meizu 16 should launch on August 8. It’s likely that the company also launch the Meizu 16 Plus alongside it.

The image of the device in the poster shows there isn’t any display notch and also the top and bottom bezels are thin. There isn’t much significant chin and the image clearly shows that the device is going to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. This means Meizu 16 could be the company’s first device with the in-display fingerprint scanner.

The top thin bezel can be clearly seen having the selfie camera; the poster also states the Snapdragon 845 SoC which will give fuel to the device. While this poster doesn’t showcase the back panel of the device, we have a couple of leaks from the past that show what it could be. An image surfaced last month showcased the back side of the device that is stacking the dual cameras.

The Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus are expected to arrive with Super AMOLED 18:9 displays by Samsung. They may come powered by Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM options.

It is speculated that the Meizu 16 featuring 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage are respectively priced at CNY 2,399 (~$399), CNY 2,699 (~$356) and CNY 2,999 (~$445).
