Back in May Xiaomi unveiled Mi 8 SE alongside the premium flagship Mi 8, Explorer. At that time the device was announced in two variants with either 4GB RAM or 6GB. Both the variants have 64GB native storage. Now the company quietly announced another Mi 8 SE variant with 128GB native storage. The device is up for sale via Mi Store.

Apart from the native storage, all other hardware remains exactly the same as the Mi 8 SE. Just for the sake of reminder the Mi 8 SE is featuring a 5.88-inches display panel with Full HD+ screen resolution. The display has a notch at the top of the display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9.

Under the hood, the latest Snapdragon 710 SoC is powering the device with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. The dual rear cameras are 12MP+5MP with OIS. Up front the selfie camera is 20MP. All the sensors are AI tuned to perform great in most of the scenarios. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1. The fingerprint scanner is on the rear side below the dual cameras.

The MI 8 SE dimensions are 147.3 x 73.1 x 7.5 mm and weigh 164g. A 3,120mAh battery cell is on board to keep its lights on. As expected the increase in native storage also affects the price tag. The 128GB variant is now available at a price tag of 2,299 Yuan ($380). This variant is only available in Gray color only.
