Like most of the Huawei fans, we are also eagerly waiting for the announcement of Huawei's next flagships Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Well, the Chinese giant Huawei know how to remain in limelight all the time. When all eyes are at the IFA 2018, the company silently announced the Mate 20 Lite. Like last year once again it is debuted earlier for the European region. Last year it was amongst the best-selling smartphones from Huawei.
The Mate 20 Lite is pretty much in line what we heard in rumors and leaks. Most of its hardware is pretty much like other mid-rangers from Huawei, however, it brings few extra goodies to differentiate itself from other smartphones in the niche.
Under the hood, the Mate 20 Lite is powered up by the Kirin 710 chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. It is the same hardware setup we have seen earlier on the Huawei Nova 3i. A fairly large 3,750mAH battery cell is on board to keep its lights on. The device is slightly heavier now at 172g.
One of the most prominent improvement the Mate 20 Lite brings is in the camera department. The Mate 20 Lite brings dual cameras setup on the front and rear side. The primary rear sensor is a 20MP module with f/1.8 aperture whereas the secondary sensor is 2MP. Up front, the selfie camera is 24MP whereas the depth-sensing secondary sensor is 2MP.
Finally, Huawei brought the latest USB-C port for connectivity and charging which means the device will support fast charging. It supports dual SIM cards. The device is pre-loaded with Turbo GPU to provide an optimal gaming experience. Apart from regular fingerprint scanner, the device comes with facial recognition as a secondary security option. Despite being a mid-range device, it comes with NFC support. Let's have a look at the specs sheet below.

As expected the new goodies also increase the price tag. The Mate 20 Lite will be available in Poland at a price tag of 1599 PLN which is 374 Euros at current currency exchange rates. This means it is 100 PLN expensive than the predecessor. The device goes on sale in Europe and many retailers are offering it. As a launch offer the company is offering free smart scale until 9th September. The device yet to hit many European countries, however, we can expect soon it will be available in all countries.
