Bose, an American corporation that is known for producing audio products especially for an automotive industry in addition to a premium range of headphones is here with a smart speaker that would be powered by Amazon Alexa AI-powered voice assistant. Voice assistants are picking up momentum and are gradually penetrating into our daily lifestyle may that be at a home in the shape of smart home devices, wearable devices or automotive.
Bose’s new products featuring Amazon Alexa assistant include Home Speaker 500, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700 which would respond to the voice commands thrown at it. These devices would launch in October and the company promises that it would be bringing support for other voice assistants in addition to the support for AirPlay 2 streaming.
The company believes that considering their advance mic system that comes from its smart headphones, would give them a clear edge over the competition, allowing their smart devices to hear much properly and clearly thanks to their advance mic array, which would offer smooth voice control even if place in a noisy environment. Bose shared that they only required 8x6x4-inch speaker 500, offering true stereo separation’, thanks to the two drivers that point in opposite direction which gives it an edge over other speakers that use a cone-like structure with other speakers.
Likewise, Bose soundbar would also incorporate Amazon Alexa capable of simulating surround sound thanks to the software it comes with. Bose products are no way cheap and it’s the same case with these upcoming products. The Soundbar 500 model (31 inches long) is priced at $549.95 while the bigger Soundbar 700 that measures 38 inches long is priced at $799.95.
