Bang & Olufsen has launched a new pair of wireless neckband at IFA this week. The all-new B&O E6 wireless neckbuds have a snap-on charger which allows the users to listen to the music and charge at the same time. The charger slips over the E6’s battery but it requires a tethered USB-A cable.
According to Bang & Olufsen, the battery should last for up to 5 hours of playtime. They resemble the H5 neckbuds from 2016 but there are a few differences. The wireless earphones have a new remote with tactile aluminum buttons. Also, there’s a new housing built for a customized fit, and yes the snap-on charger is something quite usable and makes a key difference.
The E6 neckbuds are splash and dust resistant and they are crafted from fabric and aluminum. The preset profiles on Beoplay app allow the users experience the audio according to different scenarios; be you’re working out, commuting, or just relaxing. One can also customize the presets on the iPhone and quickly access them from the Apple Watch on the move.
The E6 neckbuds by Bang & Olufsen get charged in approx. 2 hours for about 5 hours of playtime.
The Beoplay E6 neckbuds are priced at $299 and they come in Black and Sand color variants. There’s also a special colored variant, called the Plum that will be available for purchase from September 13th.
