Huawei at IFA 2018 has made several announcements, among which is the Mate 20 Lite as well. The all-new smartphone silently went on sale for the European region a few days before the IFA event and now, the Chinese manufacturer has officially unveiled the smartphone at the IFA event.
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC and has a 19.5:9 display with a notch. The main highlight of the device is the presence of four cameras – two on the back and two on the front. The device includes certain AI capabilities as well and this definitely intrigues many users. Prominently, the device has been made available in the UK, however, it’s also available in the US.
The Huawei Mate 20 Lite sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) TFT LCD panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage support the Kirin 710 processor. The built-in storage can be expanded further to 512GB by using a microSD card. It will come in both single and dual-SIM variants, depending on the market.
The dual cameras on the back are vertically aligned and the configuration is 20MP and 2MP. On the front, the Mate 20 Lite includes 24MP+2MP cameras. The battery is 3,750mAH and it supports 9V/2A (18W) charging capabilities. Some of the AI-supported features on the Mate 20 Lite include AI Shopping Assistant, AI noise cancellation, AI smart gallery, and more.

The price of the Huawei Mate 20 Lite has been set at GBP 379 in the UK and it’s available at Carphone Warehouse. In the US, it will be available in Vodafone retail stores starting September 5. It will be available in Sapphire Blue, Black and Platinum Gold. The device will be available at EE stores starting October, following that, availability will ensue at Tesco and Argos.
