This year IFA 2018 was quite busy for Huawei. The company announced a couple of new smart speaker, latest Kirin 980 chipset, Android Pie based EMUI 9 and also confirmed the arrival of flagship Mate 20 series on October 16th in London. Before unveiling the flagship smartphones the company is getting ready to announce the Mate 20 Lite for the Chinese customers.
In China, the Mate 20 Lite will be announced as Maimang 7 on September 12th. The only difference between the two devices is moniker, the rest is the same. In terms of specs, the Maimang 7 will be featuring a 6.3-inches display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Its an IPS display with a pixels density of 403 pixels-per-inch. Under the hood, the company's latest Kirin 710 will be powering the device with 4GB RAM. The Mali-G51 is on board as GPU.
As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1 with EMUI 8.2 layer over it. The company's latest Turbo GPU feature is on board to enhance the graphics performance while playing games. On the rear side, it has dual cameras of 20MP+2MP whereas the front-facing cameras are 24+2MP. A 3,640mAh battery cell is on board to keep its lights on. It also supports quick charging. For connectivity, it has USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
