Huawei Mate 20 X gaming smartphone launched with a stylus and 5,000mAH battery

Alongside the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and the Mate 20 RS, Huawei also launched a new gaming smartphone – Mate 20 X. This is the largest smartphone with a 7.2-inch ultra large OLED display among others launched in this series. It’s coming with FHD+ resolution (2244 x 1080) and HDR.

This is the first gaming smartphone bearing the stylus, called M Pen for more possibilities for the gamers. It comes with a massive 5,000mAH battery. It also includes the 40MP ultra-wide Leica triple lens camera. It’s IP53 certified which means it has some water and dust resistant properties.

It runs on Android Pie with Huawei’s EMUI 9.0 skin on the top. With such a large display, the phone targets the users who like to have a bigger entertainment. It comes with a new graphene-based cooling system – a first for the smartphone industry. This will provide superior cooling to the device while gaming. Yu noted on stage that the Mate 20 X has a larger display and double the battery life of a Nintendo Switch.

.The Huawei Mate 20 X has dual speakers and the company is also adding a gamepad that attaches to the left-hand side of the device, complete with an analog stick and a D-pad. Apart from the display, stylus, cooling system, gamepad, and huge battery capacity, the device is similar to the Mate 20.

Price and availability

The Mate 20 X release date in Europe is set for October 26 and it will cost 899 Euros for the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM configuration. It’s coming in Midnight Blue and Phantom Silver colors.
