As expected, Lenovo has officially launched the quad-camera smartphone Lenovo S5 Pro at an event held in China. This quad-camera setup consists of a dual rear camera setup and a dual selfie camera setup. Other than this, it took the opportunity to announce the Lenovo K5 Pro and Lenovo K5s smartphones.
Let's have a look at them one by one.
The Lenovo S5 Pro was the star of the show and one of the company's most leaked smartphones in recent times. The biggest highlight of the phone is quad cameras. On the back panel, you will get a 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel dual rear camera setup with f/1.8 aperture f/2.6 aperture respectively. It supports portrait shots, HDR shots, and up to 4K video recording. It has 20-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual selfie shooters with a f/2.2 aperture on both sensors and selfie portrait feature. It also has IR camera placed inside the notch which is said to be helpful in more accurate facial recognition even in dark.
It sports a 6.26-inch Full HD+ (2240 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. It has been released in 64GB and 128GB internal storage options with microSD card slot. The whole package is powered by a 3500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It will be running Lenovo's ZUI 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. For the uninitiated ones, it is an upgraded variant of the Lenovo S5 from earlier this year.
The Lenovo S5 Pro has been priced at 1298 Yuan (about $187) and 1398 Yuan (about $201) for the 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants respectively with pre-orders currently live. It will be available for purchase in Ice Blue, Jing Yao, and Pure Black color variants starting October 23rd.
Next up, we have the Lenovo K5 Pro which is an improved version of the Lenovo K5 from earlier this year. It also happens to have a dual rear camera setup and a dual selfie camera setup featuring the same 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel shooters with f/2.0 aperture. It sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to128GB of internal storage. The whole package is powered by a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support. It will be running ZUI 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo directly from the first boot.
Lenovo has priced the K5 Pro at 998 Yuan (about $144) for 4GB/64GB variant, at 1098 Yuan (about $158) for 6GB/64GB variant, and 1298 Yuan (about $187) for the 6GB/128GB variant. There are Elegant Gold and Style Black color variants to choose from. It is currently available for pre-orders with sales kicking off October 25th.
The Lenovo K5s is the most affordable release of the day and also features a dual selfie camera and a dual rear camera setup. It makes use of a 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel shooter with a f/2.4 aperture on both the front and back panel. It features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a 3000mAh battery to keep the lights on and it will be shipping with ZUI 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
It will go on sale for only 798 Yuan (about $115) with the option to choose from Gothic Black and Greek Blue color variants. The first sale will take place on October 23rd.
