From the look of the things, the Chinese giant Vivo is working on another mid-range smartphone. Today a new Vivo smartphone bearing model number 1817 appears on Geekbench. As expected the Geekbench listing reveals few key details regarding the device internals. The device has 2GB RAM and running on the Android Oreo 8.1 straight out of the box. Just for the sake of reminder recently the same device appeared at TKDN certification but the listing didn't give any hint regarding the specs sheet.
As per the listing the device is running on an Octa-core chipset with max clocking at 1.96Ghz. Most likely this Y-lineup also has the same chipset like the Vivo Y95 which is powered up by the Snapdragon 439. Well, it seems like the Vivo 1817 is a toned down variant of Y95. The Y95 has 4 Gigs of RAM with 64GB native storage or the company could bring another entry-level phone running on the Snapdragon 439. We can expect the device could soon appear on TENAA listing which certainly will reveal hardware details.
The Vivo recently announced Y95 is featuring a notch display of 6.22-inches with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The rear side has dual cameras, the primary sensor is 13MP whereas the secondary depth-sensing module is 2MP. Up front the selfie snapper is 20MP. A 4,030mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on.
