This year was quite special for Chinese OEMs like Vivo and Oppo. Both the companies further pushed the bezel-less design to the next level. A couple of years ago Xiaomi stunned everyone by introducing the Mi Mix phone with the highest screen-to-body ratio. This year Vivo unveiled Nex phone with bezel-less top instead the company opted new screen sound casting tech to ditch the traditional earpiece. The front-facing camera sensor was embedded in a mechanical pop-up setup.
The goodies don't end here it also the under-glass fingerprint scanner instead of a regular scanner. Now as per the latest info the company is allegedly working on its successor. Today a new leaked image appears on Weibo with triple rear cameras. The original Nex was introduced with dual rear sensors, so most likely the company is working on the successor with triple sensors on the rear.
Fortunately, the alleged leak image reveals few details of the rear side. Like the original model, the NEX 2 has NEX branding in the center. The triple sensors are aligned vertically on the top left corner with LED flashlight below the sensors. This year Huawei introduced the gradient finish with the P20 lineup and since then many OEMs adopted it. The NEX 2 also comes with gradient finish.
In terms of looks, the triple rear cameras on the NEX 2 looks quite identical to dual sensors on the NEX. Apart from Huawei, we have seen Samsung and LG phones with triple rear cameras this year. Most likely the NEX 2 will be the Vivo's first phone with triple rear cameras. At the moment it is still in the dark what kind of other goodies NEX 2 is bringing on board. We can expect more details regarding the NEX 2 will appear online in the coming days. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated.
