Despite the fact, we are approaching the end of the year that won't stop Chinese OEMs from bringing new phones. Vivo Nex 2 is expected to go official on December 11th. The device is in rumors and leaks from past few weeks, today we have the first live images of Nex 2 appeared on Weibo which reveals the device design in full glory ahead of official announcement.
The live images confirm the Nex 2 is featuring dual displays, triple sensors on the rear side in which two are enclosed in a circle. The bezels are even further trimmed to enhance the screen-to-body ratio. One image showcases the device right next to the first gen Nex phone. The upcoming Nex 2 is certainly way different than the predecessor in terms of design.
As expected the front-facing primary display is significantly larger than the rear display. The primary display has almost none bezels. The secondary display has a significant chin on the bottom. Another prominent aspect is Nex 2 seems like doesn't have selfie camera which means it could rely on the rear snappers for a selfie when the secondary display is turned on. On the bottom edge, it has USB-C port for connectivity and bottom firing speakers.
The secondary display has a relatively thick bezel. The bottom bezel has NEX branding. The top bezel has a circle enclosing dual rear camera modules, LED flashlight and a separate camera module. Surprisingly the camera circle has a footprint on the secondary display as well, it is still in dark how the circle will hide when the display is in use.
The edges of the NEX 2 are not curved like the predecessor. The 3.5mm headphone jack is on the top edge. In terms of colors option the device leaked in Blue and Pink variants with a glossy finish. From what we heard so far the Nex 2 will have a 6.59-inches AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 845 chipset will be powering the device with 6GB RAM. A 4,100mAh battery will be on board to keep its lights on.
