From the look of the things, the Huawei's subsidiary Honor not only getting ready for the announcement of flagship View 20 but also the company is getting ready for an entry-level phone launch. The device is expected to be announced as Honor 8A. Today an Honor phone bearing model numbers JAT-AL00 and JAT-TL00 appeared on TENAA certification. The listing reveals design and hardware specs of upcoming Honor 8A.
As per the TENAA listing, the Honor 8A is featuring a 6.08-inches LCD display with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. Under the hood, an Octa-core SoC is powering it with max clocking at 2.2Ghz and 3GB RAM. As OS the device is pre-installed with Android Pie.
On the rear side, the Honor 8A has a single snapper of 13MP with LED flashlight. The front-facing side has the 8MP module. The base model has 32GB storage whereas the top-tier model has 64GB storage. It supports memory expansion via MicroSD. It lacks the traditional fingerprint scanner which means it could only have facial recognition as the only biometric feature.
The listing further suggests it will be available in Red, Blue and Gold colors. The Honor 8A dimensions are 156.28x73.5x8mm and weigh 150g. A 2,920mAh battery is on board to keep its lights on. In terms of design, the Honor 8A rear looks quite identical to Honor 8X and 8X Max. It retains the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume controllers and the power button are on the right edge.
