Sony is once again attending the CES event with its slew of audio products and this time they are the refreshed Extra Bass wireless speaker line up that includes portable speakers, a high-power speaker, and a new outdoor party speaker. Sony claims the entire wireless speaker range is ideal for hip-hop and dance music lovers with bass.
The portable speakers go by their model names – SRS-XB12, SRS-XB22, and SRS-XB32. The latter two have the dual passive radiators that work together with stereo full-range speakers so to offer enhanced low-end tones and offer more bass despite the compact size. On the other hand, the XB12 uses a single passive radiator and has a rubber-like coating, while the XB22 and the XB32 are equipped with both coating and a washable fabric on the top. They all are IP67 certified which means they are resistant to water and dust.
The XB12 portable speaker by Sony has a detachable strap so that you can hook it anywhere you go. The XB32 has a long battery life, rated up to 24 hours and it can even charge the mobile devices.
The XB22 and the XB32 have Party Booster feature that can be invoked by tapping on them to create unique lighting and sound effects, including single and multi-color line lighting.
The GTK-XB72 touted as the high-power speaker creates even stronger bass and it can further deliver an enhanced sound if the users choose to link up multiple XB72 speakers using the Wireless Party Chain via Bluetooth. The XB22, XB32, and XB72 feature the Live Sound mode, which expands the service area of the sound via angled speakers and Digital Signal Processing technology. The XB72 also features an FM Tuner that gives you even more flexibility to enjoy music. It also offers some fun party features via the Fiestable app that includes voice control, motion control, and an interactive party light
Coming to the GTK-PG10, it’s an outdoor party speaker, best suited for some gatherings around barbeques. It has a dedicated outdoor party mode which according to the company offers high-power sound. To match the outdoor, the digital signal processor automatically adapts audio settings. It looks like a cube in shape and has built-in handles so that you don’t get any hassle while putting them for an outdoor party.
