08 January 2019 1

Vizio is a brand mostly known for releasing affordable televisions but as per its CES 2019 announcements, it seems like the brand is moving towards the premium segment. It has taken wraps off the P-Series Quantum X lineup of 4K HDR TVs which are the most feature-rich and powerful 4K TVs launched by the company so far.

With the P-Series Quantum X TVs, Vizio is offerings its brightest TVs ever with the use of UltraBright 2900 tech. It means these TVs can offer a peak brightness of up to 2,900 nits which will result in an even brighter high dynamic range (HDR) content. It comes in 75-inch display size model and boasts 480 dimming zones. This is double than the P-Series Quantum TVs which have been upgraded in 2019 to offer 240 dimming zones and 1,000 nits of brightness. These TVs are available only in the 65-inch model.

As far as the Vizio M-Series is concerned, it has been upgraded with the newly added support for Quantum Color technology. This is in addition to Dolby Vision which means if you want the best possible picture quality and color reproduction on a tight budget, this might be the series for you. These TVs are available in a display size range from 43-inch to 65-inch with a peak brightness of 600 nits and 90 dimming zones.

Lastly, Vizio has introduced a new entry-level V-Series of 4K HDR TVs which is basically a rebranding of previously available E-Series. These TVs can be purchased in display size as small as 40-inch and as high as 75-inch. There are 400 nits peak brightness and 16 dimming zones.

All of the 2019 Vizio TVs will come with SmartCast 3.0 along with native support for Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2. It means users will be able to cast content from their particular smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) to the big TV screen. It further supports Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa for seamless integration with other smart home devices in the house.

Vizio has remained silent regarding the pricing and availability details of its 2019 4K HDR TV lineups. It will be revealing these details closer to the launch.
