JBL unveils Flip 5, PartyBox Speakers, Link Bar soundbar, wireless earbuds, and more

JBL came to CES 2019 with a ton of audio products spread across a wide range of categories. It had something to show for almost every type of buyers. It means there were portable speakers, soundbars, earbuds, and even kids-friendly speakers. Since we have a lot to cover, let's have a look at each of these products one by one.

JBL Flip 5

The JBL Flip 5 is the newest addition one of the best-selling portable Bluetooth speakers lineups out there. It features Bluetooth connectivity for obvious reasons which help the speaker connect with a smartphone, tablet or even a laptop. It is IPX7 certified which means it can be taken to pool parties over the weekends. There is a built-in speakerphone to help users answer calls via the speaker if that's something they would like to do. It features USB Type-C port for charging purposes with support for a 5V/3A source. It has been priced at $99.95 in the United States with sales starting in spring this year.

It will be available in a total of 11 colors: Desert Sand, Mustard Yellow, Dusty Pink, Grey Stone, River Teal, Fiesta Red, Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, Steel White, Forest Green, and Squad.

JBL PartyBox Speakers

JBL PartyBox 200, PartyBox 300, and PartyBox 1000 speakers were also showcased at CES 2019. As the name suggests, these speakers are primarily aimed at parties where users would want a loud and clear sound. These feature three different party modes called Meter, Pulse, and Party which is basically preset RGB lighting effects. The PartyBox 200 and 300 comes with a 10,000 mAh battery. As for the PartyBox 1000, it is essentially the same as the other two but with more power and louder audio output. It also has a vocal fader, key control, and echo effect for those who like to have a karaoke night.

JBL has priced the PartyBox 200, 300, and 1000 at $349.95, $449.95, and $999.95 respectively. These will be going on sale starting sometime in July 2019.

JBL Link Bar

The JBL Link Bar is a soundbar powered by Google Assistant and Android TV. It is a first of its kind product and was originally released last year. It means this single soundbar is not only meant for a premium audio output, but it is also helpful in streaming contents via one's favorite app(s). There are three HDMI input ports and one HDMI output port to ensure that users have a complete multimedia experience even if they have multiple devices. It also features native support for Chromecast.

It has been priced at $399.95 and there is an optional sub-woofer which will cost $299.95. It will go on sale in the United States starting Spring 2019.

JBL Wireless Earbuds

JBL introduced four new wireless earbuds named TUNE120TWS, Reflect Flow, Endurance Peak, and UA True Wireless FLASH. Here is what you will be getting with each of these:

The JBL JR POP is the company's first kids friendly portable Bluetooth speaker. It is said to have "kids friendly" durability claimed to survive through the kind of usage you would expect from a kid. It has IPX7 certification, Bluetooth connectivity, personalization stickers, detachable strap, and multi-color lighting mode. It has been priced at $29.95 with sales already live. It is released in Aqua Teal, Iris Purple, Rose Pink, Spider Red, Cool Blue, and Froggy Green.
