Huawei Y9 (2019) with kirin 710 SoC launched in India

Huawei has announced its latest budget smartphone the Y9 (2019) in India. The phone comes unveiled a couple of months back in China as Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus and is a successor of Huawei Y9 (2018) launched last year.

The phone comes with a 6.5-inches display with a notch at the front bearing an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and 2340*1080 pixel resolution. There is a Kirin 710 SoC coupled with Arm Mali-651 GPU.


The Huawei Y9 (2019) comes with a dual camera setup at both front and back and come with AI-powered intelligent scenario identification. On the rear, there is a 16-megapixel+2-megapixel camera set up while on the front there is a 13-megapixel+2-megapixel camera setup. The secondary camera in both the cases is for depth sensing.

The phone is powered by a 4000 mAh battery and comes with a few tweaks up its sleeve that helps improve the standby time. The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Talking about the price of Huawei Y9 (2019) in India, the phone will retail for Rs. 15,990 exclusively on Amazon India starting January 15. It will be available in two color options Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. Huawei is also bundling a pair of Boat Rockerz 255 Sports Bluetooth headphones with the device worth Rs 2,990 for free for all the buyers.
