16 January 2019 3

Huami is a wearable brand backed by Xiaomi and well-known for its AmazFit lineup of wearable products. It has now officially launched the AmazFit Verge smartwatch in India. It is an Amazon India exclusive offering in the country which means it can be purchased only via Amazon's online shopping platform.

The AmazFit Verge sports a 1.3-inch AMOLED circular display with 360 x 360 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and anti-fingerprint coating. Under the hood, it has a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB internal storage to help users install apps and save other compatible data.

It has all-day heart-rate monitoring so that the user does not have to rely on manual monitoring all the time. It further supports other common smartwatch features like tracking activities and showing alerts for messages and app notifications. It boasts IP68 certifications for dust and water resistance. It is claimed to last for up to 5 days on a single charge but that seems to be without heart rate monitoring. Other features include GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and all important sensors like gyroscope, air pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and an acceleration sensor.

The AmazFit Verge has been priced at Rs. 11,999 with an option to choose from Gray, Blue, and White color variants. It is already up for purchase via Amazon India.

Mark Mau, Senior Overseas Sales Director at Huami said,

“For the launch of Amazfit Verge in India, we have amplified the technological features on the wrist while maintaining our aesthetically fashioned designs. With wellness being such a strong part of an individual’s daily life, we know that our fans will fall in love with Amazfit Verge.”
