13 February 2019 2

It is about to be two years since Tecno Mobile entered the Indian smartphone market but it is yet to make a significant impact. But it continues to keep trying as it has now announced two new phones: Tecno Camon iAce 2 and Camon iAce 2X. Both the smartphones feature dual rear cameras and AI-powered selfie camera. These phones share all the major specifications and features except for a few changes here and there.

The Tecno Camon iAce 2X sports a 5.5-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of onboard storage with support for microSD cards. In the camera department, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera dual camera setup with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash. It features an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.

The whole package is powered by a 3050mAh battery and runs HIOS 4.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It also has a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G VoLTE connectivity. As for the Camon iAce 2, it has exactly the same specs as mentioned above except that it has only 2GB of RAM and no fingerprint scanner.

Tecno has priced the Camon iAce 2X and Camon iAce 2 at Rs. 7,599 and Rs. 6,699 respectively. Both of these have been made available only via offline channels. In an attempt to attract buyers, each unit comes with 100-days free replacement, one-time screen replacement, and one month extended warranty.
