Vivo X27 and X27 Pro debut with Super AMOLED display and triple rear cameras in China

Today the Chinese giant Vivo took the stage in China to unveil two new phones with pop-up selfie camera including X27 and X27 Pro. Both the phones are packed with the mid-range chipsets, however in terms of design and other hardware both fall in the premium category. Both the phones have few similarities but they are different from each other in many aspects. Both have enough standout features to attract buyers, let's start with the X27.

Vivo X27

The Vivo X27 is featuring a 6.39-inches Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution. Thanks to pop-up selfie snapper the bezels are extremely thin on all edges. The base model comes with the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. The top-tier model comes with the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB native storage.

The company claims the selfie snapper requires only 0.68s to pop-up which is worth appreciating. Up front the selfie snapper is 16MP, the pop-up slider has light strips on both sides. On the rear side it comes with triple snappers, the primary sensor is a 48MP module with f/1.79 aperture, the secondary sensor is a 13MP wide-angle module and the third sensor is a 5MP depth-sensing module. The triple cameras setup is aligned on the top left corner on a strip.

As OS the device is pre-installed with FunTouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. A new dark mode is introduced which works more than 300 apps to save battery juice. The Multi-Turbo feature is dedicated to utilizing the phone power to the fullest during multi-tasking. Other goodies including Game and Cooling Turbo. As AI assistant the device comes with Jovi Assistant. A 4,000mAh battery is keeping the X27 lights on. The device comes with 22.5W fast charging tech for fast charging. Last but not the least it comes with 6th gen under-glass fingerprint scanner.

Vivo X27 Pro

Being the Pro model the X27 Pro is better in many aspects than the standard model. It sports a 6.7-inches Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution. The display aspect ratio is 20.5:9 which is highest on any phone in the market. The display screen-to-body ratio is 92.12%. Unlike the standard model, it comes with slightly wider pop-up camera setup which features 32MP selfie snapper and LED flashlight.

Like the standard model, the pop-up setup comes with a light strip which can be customized of six different colors according to the user's preference. It will be available only in one configuration with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 chipset with 8GB RAM and built-in storage of 256GB.

The X27 Pro triple rear cameras setup is positioned in the center which differentiates it from the X27. The cameras setup remains the same as the X27. The PCB unit on the X27 Pro is U-shaped which is one of its kind on any Vivo phone. To boost the audio experience it comes with the dedicated chipset for audio.

Price and Availability

The X27 base model with Snapdragon 675 SoC can be grabbed in White, Blue and Green colors at a price tag of 3,198 Yuan ($476). It will be up for sale from 30th of this month. The top-tier model of X27 with Snapdragon 710 SoC will be available in White and Blue colors at 3,598 Yuan ($536) from March 23rd. Last but not the least the X27 Pro is expensive amongst all, it can be purchased in Black Pearl and White colors at 3,998 Yuan ($595). Unfortunately, its exact release time is still in the dark, we can expect it in April.
