Amazon’s entry-level Kindle has received an upgrade which is fitted with the much-awaited feature – a built-in light. This is the only major change that comes inside the 2019 version of the Kindle. Amazon has named this Kindle Jaegar and it’s the first Kindle with a front light for under $100.
With this upgrade, it’s easy to adjust the display brightness so as to read comfortably in even more places. This new Kindle also includes updated electronic ink technology for better contrast and it now uses capacitive touch to prevent accidental swipes on the six-inch, 167ppi display. The screen isn’t as sharp as the 300ppi display on the Kindle Paperwhite. It maintains the profile of being thin and light so that one can hold for reading for long sessions.
This Kindle boasts of battery that lasts almost a month. The Kindle Jaeger can easily store thousands of books with its capacious 4GB storage. It includes all those features that have been making the Kindle a favorite device of many, these include Smart Lookup, Whispersync, Goodreads, X-Ray, Family Library, and more.
Other features on the new Kindle 2019 include Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair it with headphones or a speaker for audiobook playback.

At least on paper, the new Kindle looks a definite buy for about $90. And the Bluetooth connectivity is going to come in handy for playback.
The dark mode is a necessity for a device like Kindle. It's used for reading, which means your eyes are set to the device for longer sessions exerting more pressure.
You still get a dark mode by changing the "Text" option. You get a black background. But I think, there's still no official night mode, if I'm not wrong.
Well, it was such a simple setting. Thanks for making me aware. There are actually more color options available like Green, and Sepia.
