Lenovo Z6 Pro with Snapdragon 855 and quad cameras launched in China

Lenovo has announced its all-new Lenovo Z6 Pro in China. This phone is a successor to Lenovo’s Z5 Pro which was released last year. The phone comes with Snapdragon 855 SoC and is the company’s second phone to feature the flagship SoC after Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, which was launched just a few months back. The company is also working with three different service providers in China to become the first 5G ready domestic brand by launching the Lenovo Z6 Pro 5G Discovery Edition.

The Lenovo Z6 Pro comes with a 6.39-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution of 1080*2340 pixels and barely-there bezels. The phone has a 5mm reinforced copper tube and a larger heat dissipation area claims Lenovo.


It is powered by a 2.84 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes in three different RAM variants 6 GB / 8 GB / 12 GB RAM options and its storage variants include 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The phone runs on ZUI 11 based on Android 9 Pie OS, Game Turbo for the enhanced gaming experience, 4000 mAh battery with a 27W fast charging through USB-C.

On the optics front, the phone comes with a 32-megapixel AI-powered selfie camera with F/2.0 housed in the notch at the top of the display. On the rear, the phone has a quad camera setup with a primary 48-megapixel sensor, a 16-megapixel super wide-angle lens with 125-degree field-of-view, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel super video camera with 2.9micron pixel size and 8-axis OIS.


The camera app supports various camera modes including super night scene mode, super-macro images, Hyper Video and a vlog mode which captures videos simultaneously from both front and rear cameras. The camera is supported by a dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus.

The phone supports L1 + L5 dual-frequency GPS technology and reverse charging technology. In terms of connectivity, the phone comes with ample connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and dual-sim support.

The price of Lenovo Z6 Pro starts at CNY 2,899 or USD 430 for the 6GB+128GB variant and the 8GB+1289GB variant is priced at CNY 2,999 or USD 445. The 8GB+256GB variant is priced at CNY 3,799 or USD 565 while the top end variant comes with 12GB of RAM and a whopping 512GB of storage and is priced at CNY 4,999 or USD 745. The phone is available in a couple of color choice with a gradient design of Red/Black and Green/Blue.

The Z6 Pro is up for pre-booking through Lenovo’s official store, Jingdong mall, and Tmall. It will start retailing from April 29 at 10 AM in China.
