Oppo’S Vice President Brian Shen has stated in a post on social media platform Weibo that the company is working on a ‘Cool’ new smartphone which will be launched in H1 2019. According to rumours, the new phone could be the Oppo K3 which was recently spotted on China Telecom’s website.
The Oppo K3 will be a mid-range device and has been spotted with the model number PCGM00. The phone has a 6.5-inch display with 2340 × 100 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 with 6/8GB RAM, and 128GB Internal Storage. Camera wise it will come with a rear dual camera setup (16MP + 2MP). It will have a 16MP selfie camera placed in the display notch or it could even be a pop-up selfie camera. The listing also reveals that the phone will be priced at 2199 yuan ($322), which seems unbelievable considering the configurations of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Oppo has reportedly retained the 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB-C interface. The phone will have 20W fast charging and will be available in three color options including Nebula Purple, Black, and white. The correct price and availability of the upcoming phone are still unknown. We will know more about the Oppo K3 as the phone nears its launch. So, stay tuned!
