OnePlus 7 with 48MP camera, Snapdragon 855 processor launched

OnePlus has finally announced its much-awaited OnePlus 7 smartphone and unlike previous times, it launched one more smartphone at the same time, thus, offering many options to its followers to choose from. OnePlus 7 resides somewhere between the OnePlus 6T and the newly-launched OnePlus 7 Pro. From the former, it gains the design language and from the latter, it gains some special specifications.

To start with, the OnePlus 7 features a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution and has OnePlus 6T like teardrop notch. On the contrary, the OnePlus 7 Pro model features a truly bezel-less display and has a pop-up selfie camera. However, it does have OnePlus 7 Pro like It faster in-display fingerprint scanner. As speculated, the storage is based on the new UFS 3.0 standard for higher performance and it comes in 128GB and 256GB options. It has dual rear cameras and while the primary lens is a 48MP sensor as the Pro (0.8µm pixels), the second cam is only a depth sensor. The main camera offers 4K/60fps video capture as well as 1080p/240fps and 720p/480fps slow-mo modes. The selfie shooter is a 16MP shooter and it can record 1080p videos with EIS.

Price and availability

The OnePlus 7 will be available in Mirror Gray and Red color options and the Red variant is exclusive to India and China, European consumers will not get it. The price of the OnePlus 7 is £500 for the 6/128GB model. The expanded memory version – 8/256GB – is £550. In India, the price of the OnePlus 7 6/128GB model is Rs. 32,999 and the 8/256GB model costs Rs. 37,999. It will go on sale sometime in June. The OnePlus 7 won't sell in the US; the country will get only the Pro model.
