Huawei hasn’t only announced the new 7nm-based mid-range Kirin 810 SoC and Nova 5 series but has also announced a new tablet its MediaPad lineup. The new MediaPad M6 tablet comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch display sizes with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display. They are powered by an octa-core Kirin 980 SoC and run Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1 on top. Both the tablets, of course, differ in terms of dimensions, but they both have the same key specifications. The other major thing that makes them different from each other is battery capacity. While the 10.8-inch MediaPad M6 includes 7500mAH battery, the 8.4-inch version includes 6100mAH battery.
Both the tablets feature a metal frame and have a 13MP autofocus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. Only the 10.8-inch model of MediaPad M6 has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. Both have Huawei Histen sound support, are Harman Kardon audio certified and Support Hi-Res Audio. But note that the 10.8-inch comes with four-channel Quad Speakers and the 8.4-inch version of the model has two-channel Dual speakers. The larger model also has pogo pins on the back for keyboard support.
They both come either in only Wi-Fi version or both 4G + WiFi version, thus MediaPad M6 comes in total 4 variants, based on what a user selects. All, these models differ in terms of prices, of course.
