After a few rumors in the recent weeks, Meizu has officially confirmed that it will launch Meizu 16s Pro smartphone on August 28th. The launch event will be held in China where we will see Meizu 16s successor getting unveiled. It will also be a flagship offering with high-end specifications and premium features to boast.
Even though the official unveiling is still two weeks away, the Meizu 16s Pro was accidentally listed on the company's website yesterday. The listing was live for a brief period of time but it was more than enough for alert netizens to capture and share screenshots. It means we already have information about all the specifications of the upcoming flagship.
The Meizu 16s Pro will sport a 90Hz display with a 120Hz touch sample rate which should result in smoother animations. The display size is unknown but is expected to be at least 6-inches. Under the hood, it will have Qualcomm's newly released Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. It will be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
There will be triple rear cameras including a 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX586 sensor and a 20-megapixel telephoto sensor. The third sensor is not confirmed yet but it could be a wide-angle or ultra-wide-angle sensor. Similarly, the details regarding the front camera are unavailable at the moment.
It will be featuring a big but unknown capacity battery with support for 18W fast charging. On the software front, it will run FlymeOS 8 based on Android 9 Pie. It should be noted that Meizu will unveil FlymeOS 8 today and we will have more details about the new custom UI version once the event wraps up.
