This is OnePlus 7T! Smooth matte finish, reimagined camera, and waterdrop notch

17 September 2019 0

These days smartphone companies themselves share the intricate details of their upcoming smartphones and OnePlus is no different. Following the footsteps of Google, OnePlus has shared the back of the OnePlus 7T that will launch soon. However, unlike the glimpse of Pixel 4, the official look of OnePlus 7T has come out clearly and showing off itself in the public.

Pete Lau, Found & CEO of OnePlus took to Twitter to tease its followers and prospective buyers of the OnePlus 7T with an official look. Lau captions the image as a "brand new design with 4th generation matte-frosted glass." He has also shared a link to the forum post which elaborates more on the design of the company’s next flagship.

As you would see in the official images, the OnePlus 7T has triple rear cameras placed horizontally in the circular module. The design goes in line with the renders that appeared quite early. The blue color OnePlus is using on the 7T design is apparently called “Haze Blue.” The official images don’t share the front of the phone but in the forum post, the company has shared the raw sketch of the OnePlus 7T that shows the device has the same waterdrop notch like the OnePlus 7.

In the forum post, OnePlus has its thoughts on the design and how this shouldn’t be ignored. The all-new OnePlus 7T brings a smooth matte surface with a metallic radiance.

OnePlus tells design language is something which should attract your attention and that’s how the new phone has a reimagined camera housing to make a “bold visual statement.”

A circle's rounded edges produce an appealing contrast against the straight lines of a smartphone's rectangular form for a seamless, balanced feel.

The company went through over fifty design iterations to finally settle on the one you’re currently seeing.

OnePlus hasn’t shared any details other than the design but according to several leaks, expect to see 48MP f/1.6 main camera sensor, 12MP f/2.2 sensor with a 51mm telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom, and a 16MP sensor with 17mm ultra-wide-angle lens for 117-degree FOV.

OnePlus has scheduled an event to happen on September 26 in India where it will unveil the new OnePlus 7T line.
