Realme X2 with SD 730G 64MP quad cameras launched in China | UPD: India launch

UPDATE (December 17th, 2019):

The Realme X2 has now been launched in India at an event earlier today. The Indian variant comes with exactly the same set of specifications and features as the Chinese variant. The only difference is that the India pricing has been kept quite aggressive to take on Redmi.

Redmi X2 Indian pricing:

  • 4GB/64GB for Rs. 16,999
  • 6GB/128GB for Rs. 18,999
  • 8GB/128GB for Rs. 19,999

If interested, you will be able to purchase the Redmi X2 starting December 20th via Flipkart and Realme.com websites. You will be able to choose from Pearl White, Pearl Blue, and Pearl Green color variants.

Realme has launched its new Android smartphone called the Realme X2 in China. The company didn’t arrange any special event for the same and rather make it official via its website with a mere listing.

The Realme X2 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a dewdrop notch. It’ powered by Snapdragon 730G processor clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The storage editions of the phone are 64GB, 128GB, and there’s one variant with the highest storage option – 256GB which isn’t currently available for purchase.

The Realme X2 includes quad rear cameras where the primary sensor is 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture that can shoot ultra-high resolution photos of 9280x6944 pixels. The other camera lenses include an 8MP superwide lens with a 119-degrees field of view and f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens for adding depth effects. The camera setup has EIS support and it can record 720p videos at 60fps and slow-motion video recording at up to 960fps.

Apart from these beefy specifications, the Realme X2 comes with Frame Boost 2.0 and Touch Boost 2.0 to offer smoother performance. And, for gamers, there’s Game Space for offering games and managing them on the device while you play extensively. In addition to this, the Game Assistants offer some handy features like screen recording and do not disturb mode for enhancing the gaming experience. The device also includes Dolby Atmos support for better audio output.

Price and availabilty

The Realme X2 comes in two color options – Star Map Blue and Silver Wing White. The price of the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is 1,599 Yuan (~$224) and 1,899 Yuan (~$266) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The smartphone is up for pre-orders on the official website of Realme China. The first sale of the phone will take place on September 27 in China and it will soon arrive in India as well.

Realme has also launched a soft rubber case for X2 which is tagged at 39 Yuan (~$6) price. Additionally, there are wireless earbuds worth 149 Yuan (~$21) and Realme 10,000mAH power bank for 109 Yuan (~$15).
